September 2018 class – Advanced Lightroom Bootcamp!

Learn my Lightroom Processing Secrets in this new, one-day Bootcamp class!

Take your Lightroom skills to the next level by signing up for this all-day advanced Lightroom Bootcamp class where we will take a deep-drive into Adobe Lightroom and where you will learn my editing secrets and much, much more! In addition to covering advanced editing techniques, I will show you how to use and make your own presets, how to batch process images, and how to achieve some popular looks favored by Instagram and others. You will also learn different ways to stay and keep organized by using some very cool features of Lightroom and I will show you some insider tips and tricks which have helped me over the years. In addition, you will learn how to apply text to your images and create a “gallery” look right from inside Lightroom. I’ll also cover prnting images from Lightroom and using templates as well as using Lightroom “Mobile” which enables you to be able to use Lightroom on your phone and mobile device. Time permitting, we will cover Lightroom’s other modules as well (map, book and slideshow modules).

This class is for students who have previously used Lightroom and who have a basic understanding of using the software and know how to import or add images to their Lightroom catalog. Moderate computer skills are recommended and you should bring your own computer to class with a newer version of Lightroom installed. Note that I will be using Adobe’s Lightroom Classic version of the software in this class and not Lightroom CC (the new cloud-based version of the software).

This class will be held at the spacious Alison Caron Design Studio in Hyannis.  For more information and to sign up, send me an email at betty@bettywileyphotography.com or click on this link: Advanced Lightroom Bootcamp

Testimonials from just a few of my other students…

“…it was beyond my wildest expectations.  It is amazing how much you were able to cover and present it in such an understandable way. You are a gifted teacher and have such a nice way of putting people at ease…”

“…really excellent class…”

“Betty’s enthusiasm for Adobe Lightroom is clearly evident as she clarifies and simplifies complex concepts and processes. She has extraordinary gifts as a teacher and a photographer which she shares generously and graciously”

“This was my third Bootcamp with Alison (InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom), and first with Betty. Both are wonderful teachers and I always leave feeling confident working in the programs they’ve taught. These classes have taken my marketing skills to a new level and I’m looking forward to taking more in the future”

“As a relatively new (but serious and dedicated) amateur photographer with just under 2 years experience, I was seeking ways to take my images to a higher level.  A Lightroom user since my first digital photo, I was starting to convince myself that I was merely getting lucky once in awhile and producing a good image, or I needed to invest in learning Photoshop and elaborate schemes in masking, luminosity masking, layers, etc to get to the next level.  Well, thankfully I discovered the team of Alison Caron and Betty Wiley. Alison’s studio is a great place to learn, with a comfortable, professional setup, and Alison is a gracious host.  But, the star of Advanced Lightroom Bootcamp is Betty Wiley. Betty’s deep knowledge of photography and Lightroom really shines through, and the bootcamp material is delivered in an energetic, straightforward, and engaging style that left my thirst for more skills thoroughly satiated.  I knew there was a lot more to wring out of Lightroom, and Betty showed the way.  I now have a renewed enthusiasm for shooting my images, knowing that I have gained additional editing skills and tool application knowledge that will allow me to make those images the best they can be.  If you want to get beyond global image adjustments and really learn the “secret sauce” of targeted editing tools, then this course, and the team of Alison and Betty, is the way!”
