Using Luminar with Lightroom or Photoshop or as a Stand-Alone Application. New Class for 2019!

Using Luminar with Lightroom and/or Photoshop or as a Standalone Application –  Learn my processing secrets!

Learn new skills for the new year! Luminar by Skylum Software has become a very popular plug-in that is typically used with Photoshop and/or Lightroom (it can also be used as a stand-alone program as well).  In this class, you will learn how to use the Luminar software to add many different effects to your images such as rays of sun or golden light, orton effect, split toning, etc as well as how to extract detail to make images come to life. With Luminar, students will learn how to add skies and textures easily and quickly and how to use the many presets that this software offers for ease of editing your images.  There are so many terrific effects and filters that you will be amazed at all the different looks that you can create and how to take your images from bland and boring to terrific quickly. This program is similar to the NIK/Google software which many people are familiar with and it offers additional features as well which is why it has become so popular. Luminar also gives you the ability to do masking which makes the program very powerful. This class is geared towards students who already know how to use Lightroom or Photoshop but want to learn additional processing techniques with this popular software to take their images to the next level.  This class is hands-on and students are encouraged to bring their own laptops to follow along.  Practice images for students will be provided on thumb drives. Basic computer skills are required for this class – students MUST know how to operate their computer and locate files and how to perform basic commands such as copy and paste, save, save as etc.

This class is being taught at the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable.  Link to class description and to sign up:
